Heifer Station Wines is a cracking spot out on The Escort Way in Borenore, NSW. They've got a cellar door where you can grab a bottle or two of their single vineyard wines. It's a proper farm-gate experience, and you can even book in to stay overnight right there on the farm in their Loft House. They've put a lot of thought into respecting the land and using the altitude to their advantage, meaning the fruit really shines in their wines. You can tell they let the grapes do the talking, which is always a good sign for a quality drop. Apart from just buying wine, there are heaps of things to do. They host events, and you can check out what's on to plan your visit. If you're looking for a bigger do, they even cater for weddings and private functions. It's pretty clear they like to share their little piece of the Orange region with others. And if you can't make it out to the farm, you can always jump online and order their wines there.
