About
Hawkes Farm has been a fixture on Boneo Road for ages, with the family growing spuds and other good stuff since the 1890s. These days, it's a proper farm gate experience near the Mornington Peninsula. You can jump on a tractor tour, grab some hot chips or a baked potato from the kitchen, and pick up some fresh local produce. They even do a "Meet the Makers Market" on the last Saturday of the month, which is a great chance to see what other local producers are up to. Weekends are pretty lively there. You can get coffee and sweets from 9 am, with cooked food kicking off at 10 am. Think Hawkes Farm’s famous hot chips, baked potatoes, and even croque monsieur with Truemans Meat Co ham. They whip up seasonal goodies like Hawkes corn and strawberries when they’re in season, and you can even grab local heroes like 7apples Gelato. For the adults, there’s local wine and beer from Rhino Tiger Bear. The kids will love the mini-digger sand quarry and a vintage 70s tractor to play on, while the grown-ups can kick back on the garden benches or the picnic lawn. Their market is open daily, stocking Hawkes grown potatoes and heaps of other local goodies from around the Peninsula. It’s a real celebration of Victorian farmers and makers, making it easy to get your hands on fresh, quality produce. You’ll find fresh local sourdough, Peninsula Wildflower posies, and of course, those famous Hawkes potatoes. The farm kitchen runs on Saturdays and Sundays, serving up food from 10 am to 3 pm. If you
