About
Guildford Vineyard & Cellar is a cracking spot out in Central Victoria, right in the heart of the Box Ironbark Forests. They're serious about their handcrafted wines, growing Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Viognier, and Chardonnay grapes with a real focus on organic, biodynamic, and regenerative farming principles. It's clear they're trying to get some top-notch produce that really connects with the land and the changing seasons. You can swing by for a bottle or two, with free shipping if you grab three or more wines anywhere in Australia. They've got a lovely Rosé and a Shiraz that they ship out, and if you're lucky, you might even snag some of their other varieties. Weekends are the best time to visit, as they put on long lunches at their vineyard restaurant. Chef Zack Grumont whips up a four-course menu inspired by local producers and the surrounding region, all designed to pair perfectly with GVC Wines. Lunches run from 12:30 pm to 5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and it's worth calling Zack directly to book your spot. It sounds like a great way to spend an afternoon, enjoying good food and wine straight from the source. The folks at Guildford Vineyard are all about sustainable farming and giving a nod to the Dja Dja Wurrung People, the traditional owners of the land where their grapes grow.
