About
Forge Creek Lamb is a family business owned and operated by Neil and Angela Stringer, producing ethically raised, grass-fed lamb in East Gippsland. The farm has been raising animals this way for three generations, breeding prime lamb with lots of freedom to graze on quality pasture and using regular paddock rotation. They practice sustainable farming, with approximately 15% of the property fenced off from stock, and maintain a diverse ecosystem by planting and regenerating indigenous vegetation and minimising runoff.
The lambs are treated with care to ensure low stress, resulting in meat known for a delicious, mild flavour that is naturally lean and tender. They offer a farm-to-table experience to customers in Gippsland, with whole or half lambs cut to specifications, vacuum-packed fresh and trimmed of excess fat. The farm also provides farm-fresh catering through 'The Lamb Shack'. Customers can meet Neil and Angela in person at the Bairnsdale and Metung Farmers Markets, and orders can be collected at Riviera Meats in Bairnsdale or at local farmers markets.
