About
Ferraro Wines is a small boutique winery located just outside Myrtleford in the Alpine Valleys region of north-east Victoria. The Alpine Valleys is characterised by mountains, poplar trees and historic tobacco drying kilns, and these images feature symbolically on the Ferraro Wines label.
Owned and operated by Myrtleford locals Tony and Josie Ferraro, the winery continues a family tradition of grape growing and winemaking spanning over 50 years. Tony's parents, Francesco and Carmela Ferraro, first planted vines near Myrtleford in the late 1960s, growing grapes for the local Italian community. Tony and Josie planted their own vines in 1997 and grow grapes for other wineries in the district as well as for their own Ferraro label. The varieties grown on their property include Merlot, Sangiovese, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Sauvignon Blanc and Vermentino. Tony makes wine for the Ferraro label at their Clancy Lane property. Wines are for sale by appointment.
