About
Feedback Organic Recovery is an urban agriculture initiative founded by David Sivyer in 2013. It grew from the idea of closing the loop between food waste and food production, converting waste into food on urban farms. Their model has produced over 40 tonnes of organic food and saved over 2 million litres of food waste from landfill.
The organisation has engaged over 2000 community volunteers, provided employment for 20 young farmers, and educated 5 schools. It has also been the catalyst for 3 additional local farms. Feedback Organic runs school programs called 'Feedback Futures' and encourages community involvement through initiatives like becoming a 'One Hour Farmer' or buying a 'FeedBox'.
