About
Cripps Family Fish Farm is a family-friendly fish farm on the Mornington Peninsula, less than 45 minutes from Melbourne. The Cripps family has a history of fishing dating back to 1874, with the current operators being the 4th generation who continue to fish the waters around Wilson's Promontory and Bass Strait. The business transitioned from cooking fresh fish to opening its own sustainable fish farm.
Visitors can catch their own fish, with a filleting service available, and there is an on-site food van serving fresh fish and chips. The farm gate shop sells fresh live crayfish, abalone, and other seafood. The staff are qualified or studying to be fish farmers, and the operation is fully licensed with Fisheries Australia. The family and staff focus on taking care of oceans and educating the public about ecosystems.
