About
The Common Ground Project is a regenerative mixed farm that aims to change lives through food and farming. Its work is centred on the health of the soil and community, with a focus on restoring microbial diversity and improving ecosystem health to produce organically grown, nutritious food. The project operates the Staying Grounded Program, which provides training and employment pathways in farming and hospitality for people facing disadvantage in the Geelong region.
The farm offers Veg Boxes filled with its fresh produce and items from local producers, available for purchase online with delivery. It sells produce at local markets and offers gift vouchers for its online shop. The project provides education programs for immersive learning and hosts community and corporate volunteering opportunities. It also holds Seasonal Community Feasts that celebrate the culture and cuisine of the women from the Staying Grounded Program, and its farmhouse and surrounds are available for events and catering. The organisation acknowledges it works on the unceded lands of the Wadawurrung/Wathaurong people of the Kulin Nation, pays respect to Elders, and promotes an inclusive environment. Donations are accepted to support its education and employment programs.
