Caves Farm, located on Caves Road in the Margaret River wine region, is Western Australia’s original venison farm. Its story began over 30 years ago with pioneering local farmers, and it remains a proudly family-owned operation, now led by Chad and Carla Mitchelmore under the ownership of the Rintoul family. The farm is the home of Margaret River Venison, where Red Deer roam freely across open paddocks and the venison is processed at a certified high-welfare facility.
The Farm Shop showcases products from the farm and the wider South West region, alongside an on-site bakery creating handmade pies, pastries, artisan breads and sweet treats. The shop also serves barista-made coffee daily. The farm has expanded to offer boutique farm stay accommodation, a spit roast for hire, and has a new dining experience in the design phase.
