About
Caravan Eggs is a family-owned poultry farm in Dundonnell, South West Victoria. The hens are stocked at a maximum of 90 birds per hectare and have unrestricted access to come and go from their mobile homes, known as 'the chicken caravan'. These sustainable caravans move to fresh pasture every three days, are fully self-automated with solar panels, and collect water from their roofs.
The hens graze on fertile volcanic soils with 24/7 access to both the paddocks and the safety of their homes. The flock is protected by Maremma dogs named Bonnie, Clyde, Hugo, Jasper, Max, and Sarge. Caravan Eggs practices responsible animal husbandry and can be found at various farmers markets. The business is interested in new stockists.
