About
Bush Lemon Farm is a small mixed species farming operation run by a husband and wife team in the Pioneer Valley west of Mackay, in the foothills of Mount Dalrymple and Eungella National Park. They breed and fatten grass-fed beef cattle, commercial boer goats, and dorper/aussie white lambs on their Dows Creek property, raising livestock in a natural and stress-free environment to produce tender and tasty meat.
The farm advocates 'nose-to-tail' eating to respect the animal, reduce waste, and minimise cost. Customers can purchase goat, lamb, or beef in bulk as a whole carcass or a side, receiving all cuts including prime cuts for the same per kilogram price. For those new to bulk purchasing, retail quantities are available at local markets. Their retail meat is cryovac packed into meal-size portions, and they attend three markets fortnightly: Mackay Farmers Markets, Mackay Riverside Market, and Mackay Showgrounds Market.
