Bilpin Botanic Orchard is an orchard in Bilpin, NSW, with a farm shop open Friday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm. The Pick Your Own season has officially finished. Premium Christmas cherries are available for purchase by the kilo at the farm shop.
The orchard grows several apple varieties, including Royal Gala, a cross between Golden Delicious and Kidd’s Orange Red. Pink Lady apples have a sweet-tart taste with high sugars and high acids. Fiero Fuji apples are a large variety with high sweetness and a crispy bite. Honey Core apples offer high sweetness with slight tartness, a satisfying crunch and dense texture, and can be identified by their unique spotted flesh. Red Delicious apples are medium to large with medium sweetness, mild flavour and crisp white, juicy flesh. Granny Smith apples are hard with maximum crisp and sour factor and a very sharp taste. Aztec Fuji apples are a full coloured, pinkish red variety with high sugars and a crispy bite.

A cross between the Golden Delicious and Kidd’s Orange Red, it’s well loved all around the world. It has a firm, fine texture with a crisp bite, that compliments it’s aromatic, sweet taste. Best enjoyed fresh, in salads, to make sauces, butters, dressing.
Pink Lady Apple

Has a sweet-tart taste with it’s high sugars and high acids. Popular and known for its crisp bite. The flavour leans more towards the tart side than sweet. Best enjoyed fresh, or cooked. Retains shape when cooked making ideal for pies, cakes, jams, chunky sauces, poaching, pancakes.
