About
Berrydale Farm, out on Victoria Road, is a real gem for anyone keen on getting their produce straight from the source. It's a proper farm gate experience, the sort where you can really see where your food comes from. They're big on seasonal produce here, so what you'll find changes throughout the year. If you drop in during the warmer months, roughly from November to April, you're in for a treat with their summer fruits. Think juicy berries and stone fruit, picked at their peak. Come autumn and winter, from May to October, the focus shifts to heartier vegetables and citrus. You can expect things like pumpkins, potatoes, and a good range of oranges and mandarins to keep you going.
What makes Berrydale Farm special is that connection to the land. You get to chat with the folks who grow the food, and they're always happy to offer tips on how to best enjoy their harvest. It’s a far cry from the supermarket, offering a fresh experience that’s all about quality and flavour. They really do put a lot of care into what they grow. It's a perfect spot to pull over, stretch your legs, and fill your basket with some cracking local produce. Well worth a visit if you’re driving through the Victorian countryside.
