Barbera Farms

Barbera Farms is a top spot to grab some fresh produce in South East Queensland, just near Bundaberg. You'll find them on Wolfenden Road in Calavos, a little drive from the main drag but well worth it for what you get. They sell direct from the farm gate, which means you're getting stuff straight from the paddock, can't get much fresher than that. They're known for their heaps of different fruits and veggies, and what they have changes with the seasons. It's a good idea to pop in regularly to see what's just been picked. You'll often find big, juicy watermelons, rockmelons, and pumpkins, especially when they're in season. Plus, they sometimes have other bits and pieces like sweet potatoes and zucchinis too. It's a proper farm experience, no frills, just good tucker. You can often have a chat with the folks who grew it too, which is always nice. If you're after quality local produce and don't mind a short drive, Barbera Farms is a ripper.
