About
Aloomba Lavender Farm in Liston began with an impulse decision to grow lavender in 1999. The farm now covers 6 acres with approximately 12,000 plants, featuring eleven different commercial varieties. The main production is Intermedia lavender, with Angustifolia grown for its perfume-grade oil. Italian and French varieties are cultivated to provide year-round colour for visitors, with the main flowering and harvest occurring from early to mid-November.
The farm distills essential lavender and rosemary oil on-site. It is a family-run business, with each member responsible for various aspects from production to hospitality. Products are sold primarily through the on-farm gift shop, which also offers meals, morning and afternoon teas, coffee, and homemade biscuits. The farm provides Bed & Breakfast, camping, and wedding facilities, and is located 15 minutes from Stanthorpe with ample parking for coaches and caravans.
